Didier Drogba is contributing his quota in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic by offering his Laurent Pokou Hospital for the treatment of infected persons.
Drogba’s Ivory Coast has recorded 533 cases of COVID-19, with four casualties.

The hospital he has offered is located in Abidjan, the commercial capital of the nation.

“We thank Drogba for this gift considered as an act of patriotism,” Toh Bi said.

The medical centre which is located in the Attecoube district is not yet in a working condition, but it can be used in a period of crisis.

“It’s up to the state to validate it and make it functional,” Mariam Breka, the director of Drogba Foundation said.

Didier Drogba is the all-time top scorer and former captain of the Ivorian national team. As a Chelsea player, he is the fourth highest goal scorer of all time. He was named African Footballer of the Year twice (2006 and 2009).
