Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has assured fans that his team will adopt a professional approach in their final Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Rwanda. The encounter is scheduled for today at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The Super Eagles have already secured their place in the 2025 AFCON to be hosted by Morocco, rendering the match against the Amavubi inconsequential for qualification. However, Eguavoen has made it clear that his team is determined to take all three points.
“Our boys are 100% professionals, and they know what it takes to win games. They won’t blink for a minute,” Eguavoen stated during a press conference in Uyo.
He emphasized that the Super Eagles will treat the game against Rwanda with the same seriousness they would bring to a match against world-class opponents such as Brazil or Argentina.
Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 5 pm Nigeria time, as the Super Eagles look to close out their qualifying campaign on a high note in front of home fans.
