It’s one of those rare horrible experiences for rapper, Drake at Tyler. the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles over the weekend. As it appears, OduNews.com can confirm that the audience was not thrilled to see the rapper on stage.
The audience got their hopes high on Frank Ocean showing up but they got a Drake instead and they were left with no option but to boo him off the stage.
“I’m here for you tonight. If you want to keep going tonight, I will keep going,” he said while audience members screamed “Noooooo” and “Booooo.”
One could barely watch this video without melting in a puddle of second-hand awkwardness and cringe, but it ends with Drake saying “It’s been love, I love you, I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me” and walking off stage.
In all angles, this is brutal. Drake has been up on the trend on Twitter since last night generating some cra~y memes. There’s the “let’s handle this supreme awkwardness by making a meme” camp:
And the other camp, the “Leave Drake alone” camp
Honestly, most of the internet is either making fun of or defending him—but some people who pointed out that the issue wasn’t Drake, it’s that he was supposed to just stay for three songs and then kept going without asking anyone:
